Does anyone have ANY idea what causes this?
That wall. The rectangle shape in the front. The walls on the corner are the SAME wall. Same with the shape in the back. Note that the right one is bright, the left one is dark. No matter what the surroundings are, it seems that the edge brick walls are darker than their normal non-edged counterparts when facing this direction. On any other direction, they look fine. This applies to EVERY lot- this same exact direction.
This is baffling me.

This is the reason why I don't use the edged brick walls. It is extremely irritating.
ReplyDeleteSo it DOES happen to other people.
ReplyDeleteWhat a weird...weirdness.
This is happening with all sorts of EA walls in my game (like the barn style ones, that are red/white by default) – I didn't think it depends on direction though; to me it looked more like the mismatch is only visible when the light is at a certain angle. I keep forgetting to look for those textures in the game files, I wouldn't put it past EA to give one of them a darker multiplier than the other.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, it's happening to me too. Seems like I'm not the only one who's bothered by this kind of thing ..
oh my god that is soooooo irritating!! i spend alot of time trying to fix it using create a style but its hard to get it right! >:(
