Blendable Overshirt for Guys

Lemonleaf made this really badass shirt set. And I got really excited, because the colors BLEND! So I tried to match that with some more traditional looking base-game clothing.

Do do do dooooo! Introducing, the blendable button-down overshirt.

You can even blend patterns!

And if you use similar colors, you can blend two patterns into one new design.

Isn't that badass?! :D

  2. Tonight when I get bored I will probably make a ridiculously large set. At least one pair of pants, one skirt, one normal shirt, one dress...

  9. Wondering, what image editor do you use? I've tried doing this with things like makeup and the channels always mess up...

  11. Could that blendable-ness be made a pattern? So that we can apply it to any and all clothes? Is that possible? Cuz it IS a really good idea, with a cool look.

  12. Blendable patterns are possible, but that's not quite how they work. They wouldn't line up properly or would create a very ugly effect, since patterns are repeated multiple times across surfaces.

  13. No wonder! It must be something very complicated, since I've yet to see a blended pattern anywhere. Grrrrr EA. You couldn't make a Create a Pattern tool I could actually BENEFIT from!? Thanks, Shivar, for pulling me back to reality. (*going off to cry in a dark corner while contemplating the hollowness of her life to the beat of a Beethoven record*)

  14. Well, patterns can have blending parts to them, but you can't create an effect like the one on these outfits using a pattern.

If you made a pattern that was just a circle, and you could color the outside and inside of the circle, all you'd have to do to make it blendable is blend the two colors for the color mask. Then the game would blend the two colors together.

You just can't achieve an all-over consistent blend using patterns, but patterns themsevles can blend no problem.

  15. Oh, okay. it's like, you can't make a non-repeating type of pattern, it would have to repeat somewhere, and would ruin the desired effect. Alright. Urgh! But these are great anyway; better than the clothes available. The only other similarly patterned clothes I've seen are by Lemonleaf. I was just hoping there was a way to make a blended tie dye WORLD of sims in their colorful clothes. ^-^ I'd like that, lol. Thank you!
