CAW is bullshit.
First it crashed WHILE SAVING after editing in-game. So fuck it, I won't edit in game, I'll just add the lots.
Then it wouldn't load the fucking file because, SURPRISE! When it crashed, it corrupted it. The backup loaded fine, though, and only was missing 3 or 4 lots. I added those, added retaining walls on the road between the lakes so it looked like a bridge, added trees, redid the routing paint so that the cliffs that were created when I flattened parts of the world weren't route-able, started painting them- and it crashed!
So now here's the situation. Bridgeport. It has flattened land, mostly filled with lots. There's room for 3 or 4 more 20x30 lots, and one 30x20 lot just above them. It needs trees and streetlights and possibly retaining walls on the road between the lakes if you so choose.
Are there any competent trust-worthy worldbuilders out there who would like this CAW file to finish up the little bit of work it needs? I am tired of it. I don't want to have to do this shit again, I've already done it. If you want it, just don't edit-in-game because it doesn't save.
All you've gotta do is ask and I'll upload the whole damn thing.

LOL a tad bit of frustration with CAW there... I myself haven't dealt with it. You've pretty much summed it up that I don't want to :)

ReplyDeleteIf you can edit Bridgeport in CAW, I would love to have those files.
ReplyDeleteI fully understand your frustration. For me CAW crashes every other edit. And if I try to do much in one edit, it will crash anyway.
But I guess the good news for me is that it locks up whenever I try to edit in game.
Right now I will do what needs to be done in CAW, but put the rest (lots, sims, etc.) into a save file.
